My name is Akane Kuchiki and I am seventeen years old, recently my highschhool had a voting competition and I actually won an award,but not the kind of award you would typically want to receive. Even my best friends betrayed me and voted me for the the most unlikely girl to ever fall in love. It's not fair just because I have high standards when it comes to men doesn't mean I should be alone for the rest of my life dose it? How I wish anime men were real sometimes.
"Akane class is over now are you coming or do you plan on staying in the class room all night?"
Yeah I'm coming Clair. Just give me a minute.
"Jeez whats with the depressed attitude Akane? Just because you got voted the most likely to never get a boyfriend doesn't mean you should be depressed about it forever. That happened a week ago just forget about it. Besides those kind of things don't really come true, its just a stupid school drawing to keep everyone interested in activities and stuff. Come on I'll walk you home Akane, in your state you'll probably get run over by a car or something."
No thanks Clair, I appreciate the offer but I would much rather walk home by myself, so I can think things through. Anyway, I think I want to walk through the forest on my way home.
"But its pouring down rain, you'll catch a cold."
Ah it's fine don't worry about it. I like walking in the rain and I love walking through that forest ,something about it draws me in. Sounds stupid I know but I just can't help but feel that way.
"I see you already have your mind made up Akane and I know there's no talking you out of something when you got your mind set on it. So please do me at least this small favor and be careful. If something happened to you I would feel as if it was my fault."
Oh Clair you worry to much, I'll be fine nothing's going to happen to me in the forest.
" What if.."
There are Lions, and tigers and bears.
"Thats not funny Akane!"
I thought it was hilarious and besides that you should've seen the look on your face, it was priceless.
"Sometimes I wonder why I'm your friend in the first place. If you get attacked by any of those things on your way home don't come crying to me."
Alright I wont, see you tomorrow Clair. With that I waved goodbye to my friend and wondered up the path to the forest which was right by my school. Ever since I was a little girl I've been drawn to this forest. My parents use to get worried about me, but now they don't seem to have the time of day for me. They don't even know when I'm gone.. Yesterday I heard my mom talking to someone as I walked in the front door. I didn't realize she was talking to me until she started saying Akane why aren't you answering me? Are you even listening to me child! That's when I noticed that she had been talking to me as if I was there. She never even new I was at school and that she had been talking to herself the whole entire time. Ah, man this rain is really coming down today. I hope I can make it to the cave before the rain gets any worse. Ever since I found this cave two years ago I have always wanted to enter it, but I am such a chicken I can never bring myself to walk inside of it. Why am I such a coward? I will never be able to get out of this ungrateful world if all I do is run away from my fears. Ah I'm almost there the cave should be right above this overpass. Finally I reached it.. it's about time to this rain is horrible its coming down so hard its like sheets of rain. I have no choice this time but to take shelter in the cave. Come on Akane now is not the time to get scared.
" Akane! Come here my child seek shelter from the rain and rest your weary body."
What who said that? Where are you hiding? I know karate, if you come near me I'll kick your ass.
"Calm down my child, all I want to do is assist you in finding a safe place to rest that's all. There's no need for you to get all upset. Now come and rest in here with me my child."
His voice is so captivating. Whats happening to me, my body's moving on it's own? Something tells me not to go, but yet I can't stop myself from moving forward. I must go with him, he said he would give me shelter.
"That's right my child follow my voice, to a place were you can have eternal rest."
Eternal rest?... Wait a minute eternal rest means... No I will not go with you. You just want to kidnap me and than kill me. I absolutely will not go with you.
"Kidnap you, why that word sounds so ugly and harsh. I prefer to call it harvesting, it sounds way more eligant and blissful this way don't you think? "
No I don't you jackass. Just leave me alone, I promise I won't tell anyone of this if you let me go.
"Oh go on ahead and tell someone if you can. Like they would listen to you anyway. All they would think is that your crazy. You heard a mans voice saying these things to you and yet he never appeared in front of you. They would throw you in an insane esilem."
He's right, no one would ever believe a word I say.
"Thats right my child now come with me into a world filled with bliss."
Should I really listen to him? It's not like I'll be missed at home or anything. Maybe the world is better off without me.
"That's right the world doesn't need you my child, but I do. Here listen to my song I made just for you. (Come my child come with me I will never abandon you. Come with me to a world filled with bliss to a place I call Ethera. I will save you from your loneliness, all you have to do is listen to me. Come now my child I will not steer you wrong, follow my voice it will led to were bliss awaits you.) Now I've got her right where I want her. This makes the one hundredth person today, a new record. Now to get to harvesting her soul for energy."
What should I do? I just don't know anymore, I think I should follow him like I've been doing. Only two more steps and I'm in the cave. This is the closest I have ever been to this cave before in my life. Just then I had a flash back of all the things Clair had said to me before I went off on my own. (Akane promise me you will be ok. Don't kid around about lions, and tigers and bears there dangerous. I will never forgive myself if something happens to you.) ClAIR! NOOO! I won't follow you to your world!
You stubborn little brat, I will have your soul yet my child.
And just as he went to sing again a bright white light lit up the cave and engolfed my entire body. I ended up fainting and when I came to I had no idea were I was. The only thing I did know was that I was no longer in my world. Because when I opened my eyes I saw the most beautiful of creatures staring at me. There just siting on a huge boulder with odd writing on it which I could not read, was a phoenix with it's wings spread out just waiting to take off. There was one thing I was sure of, I was either dead or dreaming. If it was a dream I had no intention of waking up from it.
